Artifacts - A small company owned and managed by two brothers. Company makes short and long movies, documentaries, video production and post video elaboration, weddings and any social events.

The company is composed by 35 employees, from Management to Operations to Administration; including secretary, 3 teams of camerawomen, lights technicians, sound technicians - creative post video operators, and an IT apprentice.

The Problem - Big files (till 4-5 GB and more) travel on the office LAN. The LAN is a standard 10/100 Ethernet on CAT5 cable. The LAN is often jammed and clogged. It can take 40-50 minutes to move a film server-to-station or station-to-server.

The Solution - After the meeting held on March 6th, top management decided to sponsor the project to upgrade the LAN to a Gigabit Ethernet. For what typology of Gigabit, see the Full Scope Statement.
