  Quit the SQL server
  Solve the problem
  Restore DB from online backup
    If Online Backup Server is not available:
      Take the last backup tape from one of
                          the storage rooms
  Copy the DB from tape to servers
    If tape is fault, use the second copy
  Restart SQL server

-  In Development or Beta-Testing.

  Stop the involved dept.
  Take the last backup tape from one of
                      the storage rooms
  Copy the data from tape to server
    If tape is fault, use the second copy
  Restart Dept.
must be read:

Jane Doe is the responsible manager for the IT Dept.
If any trouble happens, she must be called immediately.

It's her duty to identify the trouble (hard disk failure, network failure, flood, fire, etc). Once the problem has been focused, there is plenty availability of backup copies.
